Email Signatures for Consultants and Coaches
For independent consultants and coaches, you are the brand — and your email signature is one of the most repeated expressions of it. Done well, it builds authority and quietly drives bookings. Done badly, it’s a cluttered afterthought.
Lead with your name and positioning
Your name is the headline. Add a short, specific positioning line — “Leadership coach for first-time founders” beats “Consultant”. Specificity signals expertise.
One clear call-to-action
Consultants and coaches live or die by bookings, so give people one obvious next step: a “Book a call” link to your scheduling page. One CTA, not five links pulling in different directions.
Credibility signals — used sparingly
- A single relevant credential or affiliation.
- One link to your best proof — a portfolio, podcast or key article.
- A professional headshot, correctly sized (see our dimensions guide).
Keep it consistent everywhere
You email from your laptop, phone and tablet — the signature should look identical on all three. A properly built HTML signature renders consistently across clients and devices, which a copy-pasted one rarely does.
