How do I stop my logo showing as an attachment in my email signature?

When you use Mirosign we remotely host your logo, banners and social media icons on a dedicated image server which loads remotely and avoids showing your signature images as attachments.

A badly made HTML email signature usually involves images that are embedded instead of linked. This often happens when people make their own email signatures by dragging in their company logo. This means that every outgoing email shows up as having an attachment. This is an issue for two reasons:

Confusing your recipients

If every email you send contains attachments it’s very hard for your recipients to actually detect when you are actually sending an important attachment such as a document. Imagine them searching back through your emails to find an attachment only to see that every email you have sent them contains multiple attachments of logo or social media icons.

Unnecessary data sending

This is bad for the environment as it’s sending unnecessary data every time you send email (and receive replies) and can cause some emails to be spam filtered.

The solution — remotely hosted images

It doesn’t have to be this way.

Email signature images should be remotely hosted so that they load in from an external source—much like a web page. When you use Mirosign we remotely host your logo, banners and social media icons on a dedicated image server which loads remotely and avoids showing your signature images as attachments.
