Proton Mail HTML email signature installation guide

Proton Mail is a privacy-focused, end-to-end encrypted email service — a natural fit alongside Mirosign. Set up your HTML signature in the Proton web app; the mobile apps use plain text, but they send using your web signature.

  1. 1Create and copy your signature

    1. Design and save your signature in Mirosign (an active subscription is required to download).
    2. Click Download HTML, open the file in a browser, select it all (Ctrl/Cmd + A) and copy (Ctrl/Cmd + C).
  2. 2Open your Proton signature settings

    1. Sign in at account.proton.me and go to Settings → All settings.
    2. Select Identity and addresses from the sidebar and scroll to Display name and signature. If you have several addresses, pick the right one.
  3. 3Paste and save

Click inside the signature field, paste (Ctrl/Cmd + V), then click Update. Compose a new email to check it.

Note: the Proton mobile app signature is plain text only. Set your HTML signature on the web — it will apply to messages you send from mobile too. To control replies/forwards, see Settings → Proton Mail → Composing.
